Dream Season

Who knew that at beginning of the season that Oregon had scheduled a game with Florida State at season's end. WJW. What a great honor to get the chance to play the defending champions in a game that's not a consolation prize. They're on a 29 game win streak and playing for all the marbles. We'll get nothing less than their best shot. Survive that game and it will be a quook's wet dream come true - Bama (most likely) in the NCG. The possibility of getting the chance to take down the two most recent champions is a reality. If the Ducks end up winning it all, a national title will never have been so brutally earned. The adversity the team has overcome this season has hardened their resolve, and it shows in the results on the field. Prima donnas like DAT and Huff are gone. Guys with serious intent on their minds like Royce Freeman have stepped up. Playing the Seminoles while they're the defending champions on the same field where they won it last year is special. Getting them when they have Famous Jameis on their roster is even better.

DAT was definitely a prima donna, but Huff was a gamer. He did cry like a little baby in the Stanford game, but he didn't quit, like many others on the team did. If I remember right, he had a huge game in the civil war along with the game winning catch.

That's true, but his comment about the Rose Bowl was really a black eye for Oregon.

Most people anticipated the Ducks to be here. That's why they were Pre-Season Top 5 along with having the early favorite for the Heisman. The one advantage Oregon could have gotten was for Bama to play someone with a different offensive system because any really really good team with a bunch of time to prepare has usually done very well against Oregon since their move to the zone read/spread option.

Unfortunately tOSU runs a system very similar to Oregon's. Mizzou also runs a very similar offense. So, you've got the most talented team in the country with two warm up games against Oregon style teams along with what will account for a month of preparation as well.

When you have a the better QB you always have a great chance. I think he Ducks roll FSU, but Bama is a tough matchup. I don't think either team will run away with it, but it tight games defense and ball security usually prevails which is why Bama is the best program in the country.

This coming from the biggest anti-Slingblade quook?

Rich

I've maintained a wait and see approach to Slingblade for the most part. He's earned his bread this year. He will need to prove himself without Mariota before most ducks are fully on board I think.

Don't you think calling it a dream season at this point is a lot like printing 12-0 shirts before losing the bowl game to Auburn? Just sayin.

I know you're all hung up on PDX, six string, but honestly, I don't know the guy, and this is my one screen name.

I have no interest in your soap opera, I just find it amazing that you're always calling for some coach's head, as though you have any fucking clue how to do their jobs better than they do.

How 'bout a little Foggy Mountain Breakdown for us?
