He was a Reverend and a preacher. I hate it when Christians get involved in politics and try to tell bigots how to live their lives. He's not a "real" doctor
 
In the mid 90s, the school district I attended started giving students Cesar Chavez day off on March 31st. For the first year-and-a-half, I honestly thought that it was to honor the semi-famous lightweight boxer for some reason.

Meh, I'm fine with one less day of junk mail from crappy local car dealerships, grocery stores, and dentists. FedEx and UPS are operating normally today for anyone who actually gives a shit about sending a package or letter.
