I understand why the can't fire Ferentz ($$$$$) but there is no reason this guy should ever be employed as an AD ever again
 
I played golf with Gary Barta at a UW coaches golf tour back in the day. Also played with Greg Metcalf, the track/cross country coach. One was a winner, one wasn't. No comment.
 
I'm sure Ferentz is a good guy and just needs more time to get his own players in there. Building a team isn't microwave popcorn you know.

Shit, I wish. That guy's dialed into the program in ways I can only dream of.

Ferentz is 115–85 at Iowa

Ferentz isn't that bad compared to Iowa's "Don James". Iowa has always been just slightly above mediocre.

Kerentz' contract is why he hasn't been fired. Whoever gave that to him really fucked up. His buyout has been really expensive. As the years go by the buyout isn't as bad. He could be selling the couch if he has a shitty season in 2015.
