Don't want to pay to register your car? No problem, move to SF, you'll no longer be pulled over

You can now drive around without a license plate, drive at night with your lights off, have a headlight or tail light out and not worry about being pulled over. Had to get rid of these stops because black and brown folks were being pulled over more than white folks for these violations. So the stops had be on account of racism.

Just need to get rid of those pesky licenses and vehicle registrations and we are set. Now do gun registrations. Impossible for black people do deal with that sort of white people paperwork.

Laws are just another form of white oppression, therefore we can't enforce them if they impact black people more than white people. Again we have another "racist" system that Asian people for some unknown reason are able to navigate better than the racist white people but ensnares blacks and browns.
 
Can't read the article. Pretext stop isn't used correctly from what I can read. The stop is due to a violation of the vehicle code. This is how the vast majority of stops are conducted. If the stop leads to the discovery of another crime then the stop becomes pretextual because the stop is a lesser included offense of the more serious charge generally and was the probable cause for the stop. It's not a pretext stop until after the fact.

I know it's strange that police look for traffic violations. Awfully strange.

Pulling a car after dark with a missing brake light and then charging a DUI is clearly racist. How many DUIs are charged after a stop for missing lights? Where is MAD when we need them?

How many illegal guns, and people with warrants, do you also come across when you pull someone over for driving with no tail-lights? Driving without a license plate is usually a sign that the car has been stolen. Lets face it, most criminals are fucking morons and you have people who comit crimes and they think nothing about driving around in a car with expired tags or one headlamp out.
 
Washington has stop lights at on ramps with a HOV lane where you don't have to stop

No enforcement anymore so amazingly 81 percent of cars are now HOV

I got tired of being a sucker and say fuck it too
