There is no incentive for an AD to act with the school's best interests in mind. They all just hand out huge buyouts because there's no consequences to them, they won't have to pay for their mistakes.

If a football coach hire doesn't workout, good chance you're getting fired anyway. Boosters are idiots who make emotional decisions and don't imagine worst case scenarios. All the coaches are represented by the same few agents who look to renegotiate whenever they get the slightest bit of leverage.

Its the perfect power dynamics for coaches to walk away with ridiculous contracts
