Don James was 31-22 his first five seasons.

My Dad(1st) fired DJ before @RaceBannon . Fact

“Fucking James,” Dad said. “Run three plays into the line and punt.”

He just needed more tim to get his guys in there

He brought plenty of his guys in there up though 86-87. Twash as fuck. Then, serendipity in the form of Cornelius Bennett.

Perhaps no more player was more responsible for the success of Husky Football than Cornelius Bennett.

1986 Sun Bowl, before it was sponsored by boner pills or kid's cereals...

What about UW's slow left and right tackles?

What about them? Mike Zandofski?

One of my favorite HHB podcast revisionisms was that Don James continued to get worse and worse the further away we got from his tenure in an effort to excuse Ty and Sark.

It was incredible

You don't hear as many DJ comparisons any longer. It used to be nothing but "so and so is the next Don James because he was the assistant to the assistant defensive end coach" in 1991.

Anyway the comparisons are practically meaningless since players can transfer much more easily and it doesn't any time at all really to "get his guys in there."
