Does stalking Budda Baker hurt Sark?

Passion

New Fish
The most sought after recruit in WA this year is Budda Baker. It seems every week there is a new story on censorship.com about Baker. It's one thing to post a couple of interviews throughout the season, but this constant reporting/stalking only builds up fan expectations, and ultimately exaggerates the letdown when/if he commits elsewhere. The lemmings over on that website will be crushed.

Let me get it started: WDWHA

BB is long gone to Oregon.

But I know this guy who says it is neck and neck right now and will come down to signing day so don't take it seriously when he verbals to the Yucks (LMAO!). This guy calls himself a journalist and has a lot of credible sources he says so I have no reason not to believe him.

I don't think it's the message board reports that turn these kids off. Every message board has pages and pages of gossip and rumors on this recruit and that recruit. The issue involves the interaction these ahem...... "journalists" have with recruits. Some of these guys are cool about it, and give the kids space, however some want to know if the child takes a shower or eats breakfast when he first gets out of bed. These kind of John Herbert (old man from Family Guy) type questions turn the recruits off more than the actual gossip. Most of these kids have big egos to begin with, so talking about them probably pleases them more than bothers them.

If he goes to Oregon shows he has character issues so we don't want him anyways.

I want guys who bleed purple, gold, white and black!

If anyone thinks recruiting sites like Dawgman or any other for that matter couldn't turn a kid off of a school covered by that school's scout.com or rivals.com site, you're flat out wrong.

I specifically know of 5 current college players who were turned off by Internet teen-boy stalking sites. 4 of whom didn't go to the UW because of Dawgman staff and 1 kid that didn't go to UCLA because of Bruins Report Online.
