This may be my frustration slipping out, but I'm starting to feel we got duped. The errors at the end of this game are not something an 'elite', or heck... competent, coach has happen.

We have talent to win games, but we aren't. We have made many obvious coaching mistakes, and after all my frustration towards Smith, I am beginning to feel it goes to the top.

This shouldn't have happened. It makes me ill. And it makes me begin to expect it from him, which now has me guessing whether I need to endure my newly lengthened commute to games or just root from afar.

We got duped, we got Hawkins V2.0, and I'm worried.

Please talk me off a ledge, or push me off. Don't care. FMFUFEFUWFUAFREFSFTHIS
 
I'm wondering the same thing. And I am not even drunk. Perhaps I need perspective. Or perversion. Or abundance.

I think that pretty much sums it up. I expected way better from Petersen. His special teams stupidity also cost the Stanford game. He owned up to it, but who gives a shit after you post a big, fat "L"?

I would try to talk you off the ledge but I got nothing. I had strong reservations about Pete being Hawk 2.0 early on but have talked myself out of it since then.

Memo to self. Never listen to me.

I do appreciate the fact that Peterman owns his mistakes, it's a breath of fresh air after throw everyone under the bus triple chin, but fuck man. Stop being forced to fall on your sword. Stop fucking up. Jesus.
 
Not even Sark managed to lose a game in this fashion. This is worse than the 2012 AC. Absolutely mind blowing for a coach branded as "detail oriented".
 
Electing not to kneel with 1:30 left, then not calling a timeout at 30 seconds, back to back, is literally one of the worst coaching jobs I have ever seen.

Fuck that. AC 2012 was one of the worst losses in UW history. Up 18 in the 4th qtr against a 2 win (1 pac-12 win) WSU team and we choke.

This was horrific but atleast it was a ranked team. I don't know. As Im typing this im debating which was worse. That's Husky Football for you. We dont talk about which signature victory was better, we talk which gut punching loss was worse. Fuck me

There was actually 2:01 left, but NOT handing the ball off and having Miles run sideways for 5 seconds then falling down is the correct strategy.
Taking a knee isn't the right thing to do considering Ari had 1 timeout left.

We all know this and that's why the AD is paying him pennies, haven't extended him, and already announced ticket prices and donations aren't going up for the next two seasons. No faith by the AD has been expressed which is the correct path given his lack of resume and success.

No one thought Slingblade was going to be a great coach or even a long term option. He was the only way to squeeze as much out of the Chip era and Mariota as possible. He might become great and be a long term option but no one that matter in Eugene has done anything to show they feel that way.

Both of us. We both called our shots early on Peenerman. Meanwhile, Doogs and Quackholes were bitching about Slingblade.
