Did only 1 Steeler really come out for the National Anthem?

They win the contest for being the biggest pieces of shit of the day.

The one who did is the guy off the USAA bank commercial who is/was a reservist. I can't believe there was no one on the Steelers roster (unless it was his choice) who wouldn't come out and at least support a teammate who served his country.

In this snowflake state I can see it not being a big deal sadly, but in Pennsylvania I would think that goes over like a fart in church.

Trump upped the stakes by calling these cunts out and now they are throwing a tantrum, the vaginal gates have been opened with entire teams taking a knee and leaking their fake outrage. NFL is going to get hit hard in the pocket book now.

Trump is hating on the NFL and NBA but not the NHL or NASCAR.

I wonder why.

The one percenters in the NHL and nascar aren't protesting and bringing politics into work. I know, the answer you wanted it because the NBA and NFL are majority black.

Right. They're not protesting because they're not black.

Villanueva is a former Army Ranger (USMA grad) who did 3 tours in Afghanistan and earned a Bronze Star. It was solely his decision to come out for the anthem and there was no way he wouldn't be out there. Before today Tomlin would not allow any player to kneel out of respect to Villanueva

Coach Tomlin thought it was best for the team to stay in the tunnel during the anthem to avoid being a distraction after Trump's comments. However Tomlin and other assistant coaches were on the sideline during the anthem, and the whole thing became a distraction. Talked to family and friends back in PIttsburgh and the sentiment is not on the players side. Maybe if they won the game, the criticism wouldn't be so harsh

Apparently the team left their game in the locker room losing to the fucking Bears and Mike Glennon. Losing to shit teams is an annual tradition under Tomlin.

{Steeler superiority guy}

Boobs used to be kind of conservative/libertarian, but now he's a bigger SJW than Hondo and Passion.

Being libertarian means you believe in equal rights and free expression.

Hope this helps.

Don't be an asshat on the other side. Players are employees. If owners(!) wanted to stop it they'd be in their rights as employers to do so. They are not martyrs for the First Amendment. Exercising FA rights does not absolve one from non-governmental consequences.
And that's why TrumpFS is foolish to get involved. Even though it's Bullshit Pulpit talk, it now cloaks the players in the mantle of civil rights. Stupid.

calling private citizens who are protesting peacefully "sons of bitches" is a little more than just "getting involved"

Saw a story on MSN that three Nascar Owners basically told their teams if they don't stand for the National Anthem, they will be looking for other employment.

Those guys were on the Trump bandwagon in the 2016 primary.

They know their dwindling fanbase.
