Did Alabama, Clemson Break College Football?

The CFP ruined the sport.

The only thing the CFP did was expose the have nots. If that ruined college football, then sure.

Blaming the playoff is just something loser programs say. If uw always went to the playoff nobody would complain about it.

Winning your conference to watch all Americans and high end draft picks avoid contact in a meaningless game or just sit out the rose bowl would not solve anything.

When players start to sit out the playoffs college football is officially dead. We are not there yet. But it will happen someday.

CFP is designed to only allow the most resourced schools in. That's the problem with it. 4 teams is not a real playoff. Open it up to a sweet 16 and you have something.

That's a hell of a recruiting pitch.

Really, the only thing you can use to recruit against them is, "You might not play."

It’s also not true.

It’s not? He’s coached Bama since 2007 and won titles in 2009, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017 and 2020. I guess you could make a case that a recruit who played only 3 years and left early wouldn’t have won a title but every recruiting class has won one.

Yes every recruiting class has won one. I was being pedantic.

Izzo’s streak of final fours every four years was more impressive though it broke in 2014.

You have to regulate a sport and have a semblance of fairness. In other words, you can't just let the hillbilly schools, whOregon, and THE[/b] Ohio State cheat 24/7 without real consequences as Emmert has for ten years.

College football is highly regulated

Winners will always win but they won't always be the same team
