Switch Ahmed to WR

Someone said CHico role and i agree. Get him the ball in space, but he does not seem like a prime time RB at this point.

Ahmed is Louis Rankin or a slightly better Dwayne Washington. Home run or nothing type. He’s still good and valuable. He’ll have some big games.

We do need a consistent RB that can churn out yards without huge holes. Newton looks to be the guy. He’s decisive and runs with power. No need to harp on his speed. He’s plenty fast for his size.

I don't know what you guys are watching. Ahmed is pretty clearly an upgrade from Gaskin.

Ahmed stops his feet too much. He gets going then he completely stops in order to make a cut, and loses all momentum. He allows defenders time to square him up and he never breaks any tackles because of it.

I wish we had Charbonnet, but I guess Dick Newt and McGrew will have to do. They look ok, but that's no reason to forgive us missing on Charbonnet who looks amazing, or the fact that Ahmed hasn't developed.

Ahmed is Louis Rankin redux. He'll probably have a great senior year.

Ugghh, so many bad memories. That guy could not take a handoff without taking at least 1 sidestep.

I can still hear, "Louis Rankin the ball carrier, loss of 1 on the play." It's burned into my memory.

I’ve never had much confidence that Ahmed has what it takes to be an every down back, and yesterday did nothing to alleviate my skepticism. I think it’s pretty clear that Dick Newt(ILTCHDN, IWILTD) is going to be our 1st/2nd down and short yardage back. The coaches had him as the wildcat guy on a 4th down right from the start. That pretty much says it all. Ahmed is too explosive to keep off the field, so the coaches need to get creative. I’d rather see him split out than most of our shitty jag receivers, I know that much.
