Dick Baird

Couldn't handle the way the callers were talking about the kids and the coaches this season.

It was overdue for him. Now he can enjoy the games as a hardcore fan like his true self outside of radio

The guy has a ton of heart and you can feel how much he cares. Thanks for being you coach. Your lightness made me feel better even when I was pissed off.

He defended and enabled so much awful, soul-consuming and program-destroying coaching. I don't wish him ill will, but it's close.

He lost all credibility at the beginning of 2008 when he said he was “happy Dr Emmert kept Coach Willingham because he is a great sports educator”. Then at the beginning of 2009 he said he would’ve fired Willingham after the 2007 season.

He basically admitted that he had outright lied to everyone a year earlier.

And why? Probably so he could go to practice and jerk off with Chris Tormey - the guy who had the pictures before Johnny Nansen.

Good riddance.

He’s a classic apologist, but Greg Lewis and Cleeland are worse.

Love Baird though. Fucking awesome dude.

Everything you hear him say on the radio, he says the opposite when talking face-to-face with his guard down.

This feels somehow worse to me than just being a moron like he comes off.

No kidding, you can halfway excuse his shtick when you think he's just a senile old man. But intentionally running cover for incompetence, and sometimes malicious incompetence at that, is some diabolical shit.

Jordan Simone would like a word about pre-post game broadcasters speaking their minds, and what happens…

Painful to listen to him talk about anything besides linebackers. End of an era though
