Deserves Own Thread: Feel The Excitement of the Sarkisian Era (2009)

dailyuw.com/archive/2009/04/23/imported/football-season-ticket-sales-underwhelming#.U1_-l_ldVqU

Seen doogs talking about how there isn't as much excitement as when Sark was first hired. The above article kinda shoots that theory down.

"The UW has sold 37,616 season tickets to non-students as of Monday, roughly 12 percent fewer than this year’s goal and last year’s total of 43,509, said David Gravenkemper, assistant athletic director for ticket sales and customer service.

“I think at this point, we’d be happy to get there when the season starts,” Gravenkemper said. “But I don’t know if that’s realistic at this point.”

Keep in mind that UW had LSU, USC, Oregon and WSU on the schedule that year. This year the only marquee game is UCLA and Stanford. In the case of Stanford they don't travel very well.

Of course Doogs will also ignore that point as they hate facts and like to live in a fairy tale world where EVERYONE loved the Sark hire at the time which is false.

Renewal Rate was at 85% as of March 21st. Last year they sold 46,978, as of March 21st they had sold 40,288

I thought the title said "Feel the excrement of the Sarkisian era." Only reason I clicked.
