I know, don't call out the kids … but … as shitty as that was from a coaching/discipline angle, Boston had TWO chances to put that game away on the last series.
On second down, Rogers got 1 on 1 coverage, audibled to the slant to Boston and put it right on the money. We had at least 3 receivers last year that fight for, and make that catch. That was the right play call, and the throw was perfect. Boston needs to make that catch and get the TD.
On third down, Boston made the catch and didn't have much room to stretch/turn for the goal line, but he didn't even make an effort, he just eased out of bounds. Made me wonder if he was aware of the game situation. You gotta' fight to score there, and not just settle for 4th down from the 2.
Anyway … lots of shit that cost us that game before we got to Boston's fuck ups, but still …
