Deboner is the gift that keeps on giving

My guess is that UW will hold their nose and pay him to go away. I'm not an ortho surgeon but it sounds like he had knee surgery in late 2020 or early 2021 after his senior year and then re-injured it over 1 year later? But UW also probably doesn't want the litigation-risk and cost so maybe they offer $50k to $100k while admitting no responsibility or further liability.
June 2021 injury before his senior year of high school. He reclassified from ‘22 to ‘21 to rehab at UW.
Re-injured January ‘22 even though Dr’s note from that same month said he was 2-3 months out but should be ready to participate in spring ball.

2 identical injuries in a short period of time is not good. The guy could take a long time to recover now.
Hi, everyone. This is my first post.

Welcome to the Thunder from Down Under

If he was still here, we’d all be praising his tuffness. But since he’s not, I say the university has an easy out if it went to court. They’ll settle, though.
As I recall folks here were calling Jalen McMillan a pussy
This kind of sheds a new light on that
In general yes we are all tuff guys here who would play with a broken leg but it's 2024 bro

Too much gay imagery.

Such fag, j.

DeBoer's "humility" was all fake bullshit, and I don't even fault him for that. It's Seattle. He wanted out of the West Coast, and not even Georgia is talked about as much as Bama.
Dude is a fucking killer. Thanks for the memories. Fuck you for not wanting to shit purple, but you don't go 25-3 without telling a Jimmy fluffed rtdb RB that he's a fucking pussy and that you can get another guy who will sacrifice himself in a playoff game if you need to.

This just makes me like DeBoer more. He’s a fuckin meat and potatoes eating, Folgers drinking, football obsessed winner.

It sucks he didn’t want to be here long term, but I don’t think there’s anything we could have done to keep him. He’s ambitious and wants to move up the ladder because he’s a fucking winner and won’t stop until he’s the best in his field, which in this case led him to Alabama, and maybe eventually the NFL.

Still, fuck him for interviewing and negotiating with Alabama (even through his agent) in the lead up to the title game. I will never forgive him for that. I’m interested to see how he will do without Grubb, Huff, and most of his old staff. His own ambition and fucking over his whole staff (who clearly didn’t want to leave Seattle) may be his undoing, which is ironic and a bit Shakespearean. We’ll see how it plays out. I don’t hate him but I will not be rooting for him.

one day in libtard Seattle was one day too long for the guy. He’s still a dick for what he did, but he aced a lot of leads and sold a lot of policies.

Being a winner is a good trait. It's something a lot of people lack. In the end, he is just living his life and looking for better opportunities for himself.

I've begun to wonder what Deboer would have done had we won the natty.
Like you win a natty and 3 days later bail for Alabama. Trying to think offhand of any examples of that occurring, in any sport.
Winning a natty almost precludes leaving the job for anything other than retirement or to go to the NFL. My brain doesn't usually go down the conspiracy theory side of things, but I've started to wonder whether Deboer wanted to win.

I think he goes either way.
Winning a natty at two different schools would be pretty cool.
But still, fuck him for treating Washington like a stepping stone school.

How does rushing someone back from an acl injury in January help UW win? It’s not like he was running Megwa off it was a freshman who is now at Oklahoma even after the reinjury.
No coach is perfect there are always strengths and weaknesses.

But the more that comes out it sure seems like there was less of a strong foundation being built that we thought at the time.

Harbaugh is a pretty obvious example of someone winning the natty and bouncing. I think DeBoer still leaves. I get the feeling he knew recruiting was the staff's weakness and UW would never have that level of talent again.

Harbaugh went to a higher level league.

Winning the national championship of college football and then going immediately to another school trying to win the national championship of college football is not something I recall happening. Or the equivalent in other leagues.

how many offseason natties did Chip Kelly win at Oregon before bolting?

I am actually surprised we gave him a scholarship if his nuts hadn't dropped. I hear that is the first thing Chip Kelly checks.

He probably wants 2 trophies in different places
