Maybe this is where the rift between UWs AD staff and Dannen started. An unwinnable situation. All anyone wants you to do is re-sign the football coach. He won’t sign a 9m dollar contract sitting on his desk. He tells you, the new AD that didn’t hire him, that he needs this kid back on the team to help win a title. The kid hadn’t been charged yet and the law processes hadn’t come full circle yet. The basketball player from Illinois had just sued and won a case allowing him to play until the case was settled. If the law plays out and he’s 100% innocent then you’re the asshole who suspended a black kid that you’re supposed to take care of and protect for an allegation, not a formal charge. When the formal charge did come in he was immediately suspended by the new regime. A No win situation.

Like many of us @DerekJohnson , the post National Championship chaos and let down has left me saddened and with low football shit posting motivation.
But the mere thought of DeBoer failing miserably in disgrace gave me some much needed joy.

I just looked up Alabama's early schedule. Four of first five games are at home

Honestly the game at Wisconsin is more than I expected. To be fair too, they had a home and home with Texas the past two seasons. My guess is even Bama wanted to make some money off having the gate of a marque home non-conference game over paying for layups.
