It's acceptable because Jen whiffed on the top target, and he's the next guy in line. It's actually the definition of an "acceptable hire". Not a home run, not an obvious dud. Now don't twist, Jen should still be fired, but that's completely separate from having mild optimism about Deboner.

This is where I'm at. It's very hard to explain the logic because it is tortured and twisted. Damone and Fudgie are not wrong that we should expect a homerun hire, but once all the home runs told us to fuck off, what are we supposed to do? And did anyone really think Jen wouldn't get told to fuck off?
I love DeBoner when viewed through the prism of "he's the best that's left." I like the guy. I don't mind taking a chance on him at all for all the reasons I have mentioned in other threads. That said, we'd all take Stoops any day of the week over him. Or Riley. Etc.
