My point is not that it "works" necessarily (though I think it does if you read player interviews), just that that's what we do. We tell everyone they are playing BUCK or Chico basically.
I think in recruiting it's sort of an ante. Everyone tells kids they will be used all over the field. We tell kids that, too.
The *twist here is that I think—at least on offense—we do want kids to be hard to type. I think it's clearly to our advantage if everyone can conceivably play two positions. It makes it harder for D to adjust to your personnel.
I think Salvon might break us in that way. I think Trey Lowe is another Salvon in that way. A kid who will primarily be a RB, but also be able to go into the slot if we need him there.
