So Fisch is the 34th NFL team now (33rd moved to NC) or are we prepping players to play for Southern Utah (Balas DC experience) now?

I like Bala and he was going to be Western Michigan's DC after his time at Alabama but UW came calling. I would think Bala learned a ton working with Saban and DC Kevin Steele and also with Steve Belichick. There will be some continuity and maybe the D will actually improve with a better / deeper DL.

You say Western Michigan as if snagging their DC is some type of feat. None of this bodes well for Fisch. Sounds lazy

i think it has more to do with timing. We are basically trying to buy more than half our defensive starters in the portal at least. Waiting for an nfl dc could be disastrous even though that would be ideal.

2 safeties
2 or 3 LB's
1 CB (Dixon or Davis)
2 DT's

If the “after a national search the guy we needed was already in the building”, comments happen and Bala gets promoted, maybe Jedd would bring back Cort Dennison as LB coach. I’ve heard Boner had him on the hook to come back in some capacity for 2024 before he left town. Then, poof, no job. He was a fast riser in college coaching before some, he said, she said stuff sidetracked his career.
