Colorado’s poor run defense might be the perfect tonic for the Huskies.

The Buffaloes are last in the Pac-12 in run defense, allowing 5.6 yards per carry — more than a yard more than anyone else in the league. That average, in fact, is worst than all but one Power Five conference team in the country and worst in the Pac-12 in two years (since Colorado allowed 5.9 in 2012).

Colorado’s defensive coordinator is Kent Baer, who held the same position at UW from 2005-07.
