Dawgpound Q&A with John Berkowhich

I don't hate Dawgpound the way some do. Don't really care one way or other, but it remains in my RSS feeds. But holy shit, this steamer.

JB: I have to say that the 8-5 finish was disappointing. I expected a lot more out of Petersen and his staff even though there is always a period of adjustment when taking over a new program. The losses to Arizona and Stanford were inexcusable. Everyone makes mistakes but when you are being paid $3 million a year you are not supposed to be making glaring ones that cost your team victories. The feeling among the uber boosters is that CCP and his staff were in over their heads last season. That being said most folks feel that CCP and his staff will learn from this and be much better in the future. Most think he will retire at Washington.

JB: The losses to Arizona and Stanford were simply inexcusable. CCP and his staff did a terrible job all season managing in the clutch. A friend of mine refers to him as Coach Choke Peterham.

One of his two dads, Sam, was a nice guy. Him, not so much.

Cyler Miles is being paid $3m a year?

Sounds like our boosters aren't that bright either.

I was going to post something similar ... how long has it been for our ubers to know what the fuck was going on?

We've won 1 Rose Bowl in the last 23 years ... whatever they think they know clearly hasn't been that effective over that time period.

The problem with ubers is they want their money to grant them access and backslaps. This is something Sark did well and why he didn't feel as much heat as he should have. I don't think that is what Petersen is about. There were boosters at Oregon that hated Chip Kelly.

I don't recall any of them making a huge fuss over the firing of Neu and poor decision to hire Gilby. Maybe I'm wrong. That was a long time and many fresh bowls ago.
