Daniyel Ngata , 4* 2020 RB, Folsom, CA - arrived via portal

Ngata isn't too bad. I haven't seen much but I have seen him with the ball at ASU. He's quick and shifty, probably quicker than any RB at UW right now.

I'd like to see better. He'd compete for reps at the top of our rotation though.

DeBoer looks to be building a lot of depth that fills in the gaps from Jimmy's attempts at recruiting

I see this as filling in a need we missed for RB in the 2020 class

I always knew @puppylove_sugarsteel had alternates, I just never suspected it was you.
 
I would be in favor of all of our RBs portaling and trying again with new portal RBs.

But we do need atleast 2-3 to LEAVE to open up some spots.
 
I suppose this means we are not getting Dillon Johnson. If not him I don’t know who else was substantially better than ngata as an option. I think he is at worst as much of a contributor as Davis.

My read... maybe call it my speculation...is that Johnson is a bigger back and would mean leave papers for Newton/Adams and maybe the NM transfer. Ngata is more like a scat back and equivalent of Nixon.

I think 2 RBs portal, 3-4 if they were to sign Johnson.

He averaged 5 ypc with shit offensive lines. Not saying he is great don’t twist. Just better than our current depth. He can make plays in space. Nobody on our roster can right now.

He looks crazy slow on tape, nothing like he did in HS. I’m trying to figure out if he destroyed his knees or just can’t handle the additional weight? Abundance?
 
If they’re playing the pass frequently on defense, you could have players in pink tutus run the ball for all I care.
