Oregon was supposed to host linebacker Daniel Heimuli this weekend but his team is still in the California state playoffs and he will not be able to make the official visit to Eugene. Heimuli is supposed to visit Washington on December 14th but if his team wins this weekend, that trip will be canceled as well. This could end up working out in the Ducks favor as Heimuli may waiting until the February signing day and taking his trips in January. If Heimuli is forced to move his recruitment back, the other schools recruiting Heimuli could take guys early to guarantee their class.

Maybe he'll sign with us anyways. He has visited in the past. This would have for sure locked it up though.

With the new early signing period, does anybody know if he would be able to sign and then take his official visit in January?

Thats a good question. Dec 17- Jan 10 is the dead period so he wouldn't be able to visit until the weekend of Jan 11. Oregon is gonna want their visit as well so this could go down to a late January/signing day decision.

Nov. 25th - Dec. 15th - Contact period

Dec. 16th - Quiet Period

Dec. 17th - Jan. 10th - Dead period

Dec 19th - Dec 21st - Early Signing Period

Jan. 11th - Feb 2nd - Contact period

Feb. 3rd - Quiet period

Feb. 4th - Feb. 7th - Dead period

Feb. 6th - Signing period starts (Signing day)

Apr. 1st - Signing period ends
 
There’s a rumor that Cort Dennison is going to leave Oregon after signing day. That could help us - although I’m not deeply worried.

But this really fucks us, because Bama and USC etc can get back in it if they need to.

Though, Bama might fill up. The rumor is Henry T might be on the outside looking in as well because Bama can only take so many guys.

Yup, mentioned it a few weeks ago but Bama’s seems to be focusing on three 3 lbs for two remaining spots right now (Nolan Smith, Nakobe Dean and Henry T). Henry seems to be running third but it may be tough to pull both Dean and Smith in battles with Georgia and Smith is more of a true outside guy compared to the other two anyways.

If Bama flips Nolan Smith and gets Nakobe Dean, To’oto’o is shit out of luck over there and gonna need to look elsewhere, maybe UW but probably Tennessee/Cal. If Bama only gets one of those two (particularly if they get Smith) then Henry takes the other LB spot. And if Bama ends up with neither we could get fucked cause they’ll be back in desperation mode looking to swoop in on both Henry and Heimuli.
