He has narrowed it down to UW, Oregon, Utah, UCLA, Bama. Bama is done.
He is playing in the Poly Bowl one of those visit weekends so narrow that down how you’d like. The poly bowl will be huge for us. I know it’s weird saying an all star game will help us.[/b]
Because of the early enrollees Dennis mentioned and because of where he scheduled his visit the first time around, my guess is he schedules it for the first weekend in February. Someone I’ve talked to said he wanted to get this over with but his parents didn’t think it was fair to commit and sign when he’s so focused on winning the championship and without getting free vacation weekends to get the actual feel of a real visit. Excuse my dooging.
There's nothing weird about it ... it's all about the Poly Bowl.
It's simple psychology really, Group Social Identity mixed with Poly family sensibilities ...
Tuli L, for example. Off radar, went to Poly Bowl and identifies with UW polys/commits, has someone like Danny Shelton to look up to ... feels UW. There you go.
Recruits identify heavily with their peers. Coaches are important but deep down croots understand that coaches come and go ... fellow croots you're gonna be with for 3-5 years, grind and go to battle everyday with.
Instability or uncertainty with schools like USC give opportunity.
I've been saying this for years (beat my own chest). That's why having any potential UW croot at the Poly Bow that is still undecided will be bumped up if they ident with the current croots.
current Poly Bowl croots/reps:

current targets:

How many players do we have targets on? A Shit-ton of difference makers ...
What makes me a little worried is that an Oregon guy (Haloti Ngata) and a USC guy (JuJu) are the honorary team captains this year.
Last year it was Danny Shelton and that other Oregon guy iirc ...
