Dan Lanning smashed UW helmet at halftime. Tequilla not impressed

Congrats on the recruiting class for Lan Danning
I heard a rumor last year that there were programs out there that did shit for clicks …
Taking a sledgehammer to a helmet and having that video get out is for clicks
If I’m tied to the UW program as a player/coach I’m putting that near the top of the list of things to motivate me over the next 9-12 months
I've always thought the extra shit was super stupid. Smashing helmets, planting flags, hand signals, dancing in the middle of the field. I mean, it's double-digit IQ stuff. It's your amygdala and hypothalamus working and your pre-frontal cortex taking a break. But if dancing on a painted symbol in the middle of a field makes your dick hard, more power to you. I guess.
Perhaps even more stupid, or at least just as stupid, is the indignation over it. See, e.g., Ohio State / Michigan a few days ago. It's a patch of grass guy. Make sure you win the fucking game and it won't happen.
Think back to how nice the T&A you used to get in your teens and 20s was. Sometimes I get lost in the memories. Best fucking times. Imagine being a football player, and that is waiting for you after the game. And instead of running off to take advantage of that fleeting state of affairs, you're all worked up and fighting with some dip shit over his choice of location to dance and plant a flag. It's just super indicative of a person's mental development, or lack thereof.

I recognize that football doesn't draw the highest avg. IQ across sports. But even knowing that, sometimes I am surprised by how dumb a lot of these people really and truly are.
I'm surprised you're surprised.
Only sometimes. But note, the real point of my point is how equally stupid it is to care about it. Much less stew over it in anger for the next year as motivation. Losing should be the motivation.
I made a comment
Anybody that thinks I stew over this type of stuff is crazy

Somebody has never been near the players tunnel. I suggest you ask Kim.

it would be kind of ironic if Lanning took DeBoer’s Dallas gig when Jerruh finally pulls the trigger and dumps one of the most overrated coaches in the history of the NFL
I think Lanning like recruiting and getting the players he wants vice the NFL where other factors play into talent acquisition.

no coach is going to succeed in Dallas because they have terrible contracts on the books and are never bad enough to get a good pick. They need to blow it up and start completely over

Actually I found that helmet smash episode rather offensive. What kind of a coach smashes a helmet? At least Mike Leach had the decency to stick to rhetoric in the locker room. Of course most of the rhetoric was profane, but it's higher class than axing a helmet.
I'm surprised you didn't know that Lanning is a douche and forgot that he is employed by a program that is essentially the Beverly Hills Hillbillies.

Leach was actually cool and also only beat Washington once. I'm pretty sure he'd have some cancellable language used if you asked him about some of the coaches filming themselves for TikTok style shit.

Sport isn't the same without Leach around losing games 69 to 68 with both teams throwing for 4200 yards

Leach was essentially Tik Tok before Tik Tok.

The 90210 Beverly Hills hills billies hills was a very popular show.

I talked to an Oregon player.
He said the halftime helmet smash was motivating, and interestingly enough, even though he thought it might have been a bit corny, he thought it was necessary to keep the team focused.
He also likes Lanning.

Name him or GTFO

Im surprised he needed a sledge hammer to smash it.
I was expecting them to just swing it into concrete like real men would do.
He kinda looks like a pussy swinging the sledge hammer.
I fully expect Oregon to get exposed in the playoffs.

Wilson love is the one who smashed it. Not Dan.
