Besides my boner pointing out of my 5 inch inseam jhorts (easier for my ankle monitor) while in my parent's basement , it could be worth pointing out that Chris Petersen went an impressive 57-6 in conference at BSU but unfortunately, 5 of those 6 losses came with Kwiatkowski as his DC with the D giving up an average of 33.5 points in those conference losses.

A friend also worked out with a former BSU player* (played defense) earlier this year and that player couldn't say enough great things about Petersen but said that Kwiatkowski probably has been promoted beyond his capabilities and should have stayed as a DL coach since he was an exceptional DL coach.

*if you want to know who the former player was, tough luck so fuck off.

However, if it is, I'd expect Petersen to make a change when it becomes obvious that it is needed.

Holt was only nominally the DC under Defensive Guru Pete Carroll yet Sarkisian hired him anyway. Kwiatkowski has a lot to prove but he was actually the DC at BSU for 4 years (not just make-believe like Holt). HTH
 
In fairness to Kwiatkowski, it is not like Wilcox's defenses simply shut down the WAC offenses. He gave up 30+ points 8 times to conference foes. This isn't to say he is not a better DC.
