I do doubt that he is using this for leverage in that reportedly he was gone to the pros last year except he didn’t get offered the job after all… doesn’t mean he couldn’t change his mind now but does speak to his desire to go back to the NFL. I’m guessing he gets offered maybe more than one place.. Denver will probably want him, he would have to decide if he wants to work with Wilson obviously, not everyone is going to want that situation to work with. The rest of the jobs just might be Meh, so he might decide to hang out one more year in Michigan. He doesn’t need to take just any NFL job.

I should've done the same. My memory was that he left the 49er job to go to Michigan. Didn't realize he was fired.

It was described as “mutual”. Wikipedia claimed there was a power struggle between Harbaugh and the GM. IIRC, Tomsula was named head coach after that and it makes me wonder if Tomsula was bending the GMs rat lobbying for the gig.

Yah, as competitive and accomplished as he has been I’m sure that he viewed that a real insult to the point where loyalty probably is not a question he feels anything about as far as the Michigan Leadership is concerned… this is now a leverage point or another job that he wants decision for him and I’m guessing he is out the door. I’m sure he is going to want largo guaranteed buyout dollars either way.
