Cooper McDonald, 2020 3* LB, Justin (Northwest), TX (Committed)

Not the most impressive offer list. Usually when we take a 3 star with a lowish ranking, the Pac 12 offered in addition to some other legit schools.

Only decent offers is Utah and Baylor

I haven't watched his film, but this seems like a reach we shouldn't have to take at this point. I guess I'll watch the film though, because honestly I thought the same thing about Sawyer until watching his film
 
Get out of here. Not everyone can Be Barry Sanders 2.0. I trust the Coaches. McDonald is a sign, the Texas pipeline is finally established!!!

Possibly. Is he an ILB or SAM for us? We'll see. The bottom line is, it's fucking stupid. They visited this kid and didn't visit Herbig. We think they can't possibly have McDonald rated higher on their board than Herbig and yet their actions say otherwise. I'm perplexed.

You guys haven't figured out that he plays ST as a long snapper yet? Pete loves his two-for-one players like Jack Browning.

If Utah offered I’m fine with it. They churn out good white huge LBs. Barton is tearing up Seahawks OTAs.

He is a solid player. Im sure he will play well for us. Sure tackler, in the right spots.

With that being said, I would not consider this leveling up. At all.
 
It's cool guys. We don't want too many 4-star guys anyways. We gotta have some heady, hard-hat and lunch-pale 3-star kinda guys who work really hard and know what they're doing out there.

Or they didn’t want him more than Herbig and just got beat for him.
