Coog of the Week: Bob Robertson

Was flipping the stations while I was driving Saturday afternoon and heard the Coog game for a few minutes. After USC missed the XP to stay at 37-14, Bob Robertson intimated that USC has had trouble closing games out and that that missed XP could be the start of USC's collapse in that game and it could come back to bite them. He didn't sound entirely serious but to bring it up on a professional broadcast implies some seriousness to the comment.

The final score was 44-17, right? Why did the Cougs kick a field goal after being down 37-14 in the second half?

They didn't. The 2nd TD was after the field goal.

Thanks for messing me up Chest. I'll check and see what "Box Score" has to say before I comment, thanks.

I enjoy listening to the Cuog football broadcasts when I get a chance.

The Bob Rob/Jim Walden combo was (is?) epic.

Jason Gesser now is the sidekick on the broadcast, idk who the play-by-play guy is. Bob Rob is still there but he just does promos and makes random observations at random times. It's an absolute disaster to listen to their broadcasts, so yes I do enjoy it.

My favorite Jim Walden moment was right after Corey Williams scored a TD in the 2003 Apple Cup. It was one of the most pathetic Cuog moments of all time.

Yes it is quite bizarre and awkward... the play by play guy hates it

Bob Rob sounds like he is a breath or two away from death.

It's a train wreck.
