A conference title is a big achievement for a small time school like yours. Don’t fuck this opportunity up and embarrass the conference in the tournament again. You guys and the Huskies tend to do that. A lot.

I can’t tell you how embarrassing it was to lose in the sweet 16 by 4 to the eventual national champions.

Or losing by 1 in 2017 in the final 4 to the eventual national champions.

Embarrassing is what UCLA has done to its legacy and history during the lifetimes of current recruits who give zero shits about John Wooden. Or a couple forgettable burps of success in 1997 and 2006.

Let me advise you some advice: getting into bed with J is like steering your space ship into a black hole. It's something you don't even want to get close to. By even responding once, you approach the photon sphere. Don't go past that point. Don't approach the event horizon. It's a fuzzy line and getting there is irreversible.

It’s the conference of CHAMPIONS, not the conference of close loss to eventual champion moral victories. Please respect the legacy.
