For perspective I didn't become a fan until 2005 when I got into UW; my senior year was Willingham's last. Bane describe's my early Husky fandom best...

I'm not sure I've been at EVERY one, but I know I've flown in for at least 2. I was DEFINITELY at the DUB PUB (eating paleo style like a fag), but I was at the very first one hosted by Heckman where Dick Baird got drunk and called the big black cordless microphone a "White Man's Wish" and said you can't expect Adam Tate to be anything like his tape because he's playing against "little Mexican kids."

I forgot a big big confession:

I attended an alumni reception in DC in 2010 where the featured guest and speaker was Mark Emmert. He spoke highly of Sark (coming off the moral victory 5-7/4-5 speshul season) and didn't think Emmert was a complete piece of shit for one evening.

I bought into the '03 hype train (sort of). I was expecting about a 9-3 regular season. Back then I worked on Saturdays a lot and listening to Baird defend the bullshit performance of the team week after week on the radio made me want to strangle him.
