Who gives a shit? Stanford is only good because they got great coaching. They've always been a great institution, but kids go to fucking Auburn without thinking twice.

Pretty Allah-damned impressive list of "fast facts" right there. Stanford's list of alums in the NFL is pretty impressive too.
Stanford pretty much puts the lie to every doog argument about CP not "knowing how to recruit 5-star athletes." A truly great coach (like Harbaugh) doesn't have to fill every recruiting class with the uber-stalked, 5-star, Scout circlejerk guys. Recruiting is important, but there are lots of great athletes out there. A truly great coach gets who he gets, then develops them.
