You twist it and claim they are "public initiatives". Your label neither makes sense nor acknowledges the fact that the government is in business with private corporations.
Show me a bank that is in it for only "public initiatives" and I will show you a bank that is no longer in business.

What about Oil subsidies? From what I heard you guys are against EVs because the government invests in it (providing jobs across the us btw) but I haven’t heard a peep about oil subsidies!!!!

And how dare Obamacare mandate that insurance companies can’t deny people with preexisting conditions and that people can stay on their parents healthcare until age 26. How awful!!!We all know great companies like United Health are looking after us with our best interest in mind!!!!

On oil subsidies, I’d be fine getting rid of them if we also get rid of the regulations placed on them. The subsidies basically just pay for the regulatory burden, we would be better off without both of them.
 
Gonna have to see the list of oil subsidies. Favorable tax treatment of drilling isn't a subsidy.

O&G companies actually pay royalties into the Treasury.
 
Pharma pays a shit ton of royalties to the Feds too. They run better GLP1 ads than Intel does though so it’s cool.

The reason we have a oil industry today and the greatest way of life in history due to it, is because the federal government was weak when it was being built. They couldn't get in the way and they stayed out of the way
There was no billion dollar spending plan to build gas stations that built one station
 
I don’t know how to reply anymore. But I do laugh at the free market leftists that are only interested in fixing one side of the ledger (subsidies). While ignoring the part where the government is firmly in control on compliance/regulation and declaring an end to subsidies is what Friedman would have wanted. And then call themselves capitalists.
