I think the only way for Bud Lite to get out of this is to talk about the beer, not the people who drink it. They burned that bridge. The problem is that the beer is not that good.

They need a commercial like Miller Lite in the past, “Less filling, tastes great”.

Stop talking about the people, start talking about the beer. If the product was good enough, people would buy and drink it.

When it comes to cheap beer, it seems to me that schlubby middle aged men prefer the cold refreshing mountain taste of the Rockies.
 
I hadn't drank a regular Coors in many years. Had a few at a wedding this weekend. Tasted pretty good.

On a hot day after mowing the lawn, I like a light beer. Don't need a stout or an IPA. To me Bud Light is sweet and I don't do sweet so I prefer the cleaner Coors Light. But, there are still tens of millions of Americans that don't like beer with flavor and like sweet drinks. Have friends from the midwest that either drink Bud Light or 7 and 7. Big drinkers, but still drink like 18 year old freshman coeds.

Nope. Just regular dudes that never acquired a taste for full flavored beers or straight booze. They also like well done meat and if it isn't fried fish, get lost. The idea of a sushi roll or some sashimi gags them and oysters are a bridge way too far.
 
Was at the local Fred Meyer with Mrs. Doogerson. Big display of Bud Light. $24.99 for a 30 pack, with an additional $10.00 coupon. That's $14.99 for 30 beers. They aren't coming back from this. It didn't look like the sold one...the brand is going to die. Nice to see real people fight back and make a difference.

For a big beer, I always enjoyed Coors (and Pabst)

I haven't had a Bud Light in 10 years. It seems really stupid to have a mentally ill weirdo dressed and "acting" like a woman when your main target is frat boys and blue collar men, but go woke, go broke as they say.

my bro in law now buys 36 packs of coors light, then teases me about drinking butt wiper. I have never been a butt wiper drinker but it now is a party favorite for making jokes.
If they changed their adverts to promote the flavor of their beer they would lose more customers. Should have stuck with the funny (kind of) sports ads.
