Comcast and the B1G Network

Y'all should move to Ames Lake and get Wave. No problems in Ames Lake besides bears tipping over garbage cans and pet cats vanishing. Keep your Ames Lake cats indoors, folks. And secure your garbage. It's a jungle out there but the football watching is great.

The B1G is 100% right. With the premium package we all upgraded from, you lost an entire sports channel so Comcast should have shut the fuck up and included the network that now has the 4 local teams.
Comcast's logic is the absolute biggest pile of horseshit I've ever read. I've lost count of the channels that I already was paying premium for but don't care about and never watch.
It's like they're crying on behalf of all the dumb fuck Pac 2 fans that care about their schools only once a decade, and seriously fuck all those people anyways.

The thing is, it muddles the picture to add up your streaming services when you have them anyway, like I did. I am going to have Netflix, I am going to have Prime because we use Amazon, and the rest of dependent on whether I see one I want. I view them as a different thing because (1) I can focus on streaming services that provide the kind of content I want and (2) I can watch said content whenever the fuck I want. Switching to YouTubeTV has, thus far, been a complete no brainer. $72 whatever a month gives me more TV than I will ever watch, and like I said, I was going to have my streaming content service either way. But even when you add it up, including the $60/mo retained from the old bill for cable, it's well south of what I was paying for shitty cable, which was shitty. A decent percentage of that is in taxes that apply to cable that don't show up (at least that I can see) with streaming.
My only reservation is sports season. I haven't been through a college football season with it yet. If need be, I could buy some sports package from some provider and I'm sure it would still be cheaper.

If they don't sort this out after this season then [internet service of choice] + Prime + YouTubeTV + Peacock is probably the best way to go. HBO if they come back with actual good original content again.
But fuck Comcast for this. I had already upgraded my package for them in preparation for this season.

Comcast then hilariously ignores all the other ancillary shitty channels that we're paying for and don't want just to NOW decide that "some people shouldn't have to pay a bit more if they don't want to watch the B1G".
They are a bunch of obtuse assholes that probably just want to push people off of their cable platform entirely.

Finally living the good life now that UWs in the BIG I can get the B1G network on cable. Also have YTTV to fill the gaps during the fall with a VPN
 
Imagine not just being at the game and getting to consume an NIL Lager that drinks like a warm Corona.
