Yankoff is the perfect spread QB. The funny thing is he would actually have been good in JS's version of our offense.

He has good eyes. A number of throws went to guys who actually had tight coverage, but where the defender's body position would force an unnatural move to get a hand on the ball or he could see that their eyes weren't in the right place and the ball could be fit in before they reacted. He makes those decisions quickly and in traffic.

We haven't had a QB who could do that in forever. Stanback and Locker could have been good in spite of their accuracy issues it they had possessed that kind of vision and quick decision making. Browning could be average if he had it. Price had it for a season before he lost his nerve.

It may not translate. Hard to say but it sure sets him apart at HS level.

My take:

Sirmon's film is better, Yankoff is more consistent in games though.

Both have crazy high ceilings because of Sirmon's elite arm talent and Yankoff's athleticism. Yankoff has a higher floor though.

Depends what you looking for. Yankoff's game is more build for the college game, Sirmon is your prototypical NFL pocket passer type a player. From a pure arm point of view Sirmon by a lot.
