Coleman isn't exceptionally big or fast. I think you have to be pretty exceptional at all aspects, including the underwear Olympics, to be an early pick as an RB. Just being really good at running the ball isn't enough. More and more oro teams think they can find their guy in the late rounds or via UDFA.Coleman is much better in my opinionBucky Irving went in the 4th round. How does Coleman comp?
I love me some Coleman
Which is why, for him, he should leave to maximize his potential. If Coleman had any blocking at all, he'd be averaging 8.0 yards per carryRunning backs are a dime a dozen in the NFL unless you are truly elite. Coleman is a really good college running back, but so are dozens of others.Coleman is much better in my opinionBucky Irving went in the 4th round. How does Coleman comp?

good lord… we will have to agree to disagree on this oneColeman is a really good back, but the really great ones don’t rely on their OLs.
Coleman is definitely hurt by his OL, but I don’t think he’s alone in college football. There aren’t a lot of really good offensive lines out there.
Is Gaskin still in the NFL? He was drafted in the seventh roundgood lord… we will have to agree to disagree on this oneColeman is a really good back, but the really great ones don’t rely on their OLs.

Myles Gaskin wouldn't be faring any better than Coleman with this current line.
Coleman's efforts are fantastic
he was in street clothes last week vs the rams. He's bounced between cuts and practice squads and active rosters the past couple years. He's on the active roster for the Vikings right now and has put together a good career for a 7th round pick.
Health problems and he doesn't have breakaway speed. No way he's a first rounder. He reminds me of Maurice Jones-Drew, but not quite as good as MJD was.Why does everyone and their brother think Coleman is a late-round pick? He looks late first round or early second round to me, if healthy.Yeah the idea that any RB needs to hurry and get his NFL time started only applies to first or maybe second round picks anymore. There is more incentive for a mid or late round guy to just stay in college. If he's projected as a 5th round pick his signing bonus would be under $400k and the actual contract is not guaranteed money. If he can make more at UW next year how would that be a dumb decision?I don’t want dumb players on my team and Coleman would have to be beyond dumb to return.
Coleman is way better than Johnson. Loved Johnson, but he is way slower with less burst. No wiggle. Just drove the tackler back for an extra yard or two and was a good pass blocker.Coleman is so slow he will not go higher than the 5th. Likely UDFA. Johnson was better than Coleman IMO last year and he went undrafted because fucking cock sucker doog legend DeBoer broke his foot last year for no reason
Coleman needs to go to his brother Lavon Coleman's school of chiseling cement off of his cleats, and then gets healthy.
Get an NIL bag for this year and play for a 4th round grade next year

Coleman has burst, can make a guy miss and breaks a ton of tackles. He will play in the nfl. Johnson will be lucky to get a carry.
I'd guess Coleman is about 4.55 forty yard dash guy. He's not slow and does have very good acceleration and vision. If he can get down to 4.45 to 4.5 and prove he can carry the ball 15-20 times a game week in and week out, a RB hungry team could take him in the late 2nd or 3rd.Dude Johnson housed it multiple times last year from 40+ yards out.Coleman is way better than Johnson. Coleman has yet to meet an LB or secondary player who can't run him down.
Coleman is a tank, but Johnson was much faster
If Coleman was a tiny bit faster we actually beat Rutgers because he had 2 break away runs I thought were for sure gone and he got caught. @WoolleyDoog and I said game over in the thread because we got into the red zone which is a bust 81% of the time
Gaskin was amazing and spends more time on the practice squad in the NFL than the active roster. In six years he's made $6.6 million (assuming he finishes this year on the active roster). $2.5 of that was 2022, otherwise he's made less than $1 million every season.good lord… we will have to agree to disagree on this oneColeman is a really good back, but the really great ones don’t rely on their OLs.

5th round picks typically are not on the active roster consistently for the most part. Unless you hate school, take the college bag.I agree about Coleman at the combine but if he can stay healthy and run faster than a 4.6, he should go in the 5th or earlier which would put him in the $1 to $1.25 million range per year if he went in the 5th. Maybe UW would be willing to pony up $1.5 because defending Coleman and Williams next year would be a nightmare in the RPO game for LBs.
