I just listened to the podcast of the Peterman interview.
What I liked: Peterman saying he was upset about 8 true freshman having to play last year. I also loved his comments about building a dominant defense. It's obvious that Petersen wants to build a program for the long haul.
What I didn't like: Peterman saying it would take time to build depth and develop talent. My translation of that was that right now, we really suck. I get it, but how long is he talking about? I also didn't like his comments about taking graduate transfers. I wish he was more open to it, especially once the program improves.
Conclusion: What Petersen says doesn't actually matter and he will either win or he won't. Either way it will be interesting.
