I think the offense shut itself down. He didn't commit to running the ball even when the OL started pushing Cal off the line and we routinely got 5 yards running on 1st. He abandoned RPO and play action. How many tines does he need to see Morris take a deep drop, see some pressure, panic and run around a little then throw the ball away before he tries something new? He could have committed to "run the damn ball and moved the chains all second half, but he preferred to go deep drop/throw away on 2nd and 5 or 6. He could have kept mixing things up with screens and swing passes and fly sweeps. He could have done a dozen different things to get the ball quickly into the hands of *our fast and dangerous receivers. He just likes watching his QB look like shit stumbling around in a shaky pocket.
I think the offense actually has a enough going for it in terms of design and definitely talent. The WRs are fucking good and dangerous. Someone else just needs to take over play calling.
