There's a lot to talk about and I know everyone here is excited.

Big storylines:
-Starting pitching health
-Did they address the bullpen issues enough with Ferrer?
-Did Julio get the brain transplant *we were all hoping for?
-Over/under on steals for Naylor?

This is the culmination of the Dipoto build that started years ago. They are about as good as they're ever going to be on paper given the approach of ownership. They have a 2-3 year window. Kinda feels like a now or never (in my lifetime) situation.

So I’m curious about Right field, cant help but feel like right field needs a change. I buy the idea that Refsnyder and Canzone are proven bats and I’m not feeling it with Robles. And Raley. Raley has had forever in the majors to prove he was worth the slot, a championship year isn’t the year to roll with a guy that has continued to be a cusp player. Robles is another project ~ a failure in DC that came to the mariners and DID have a few months resurection but doesn’t appear to either be healthy or he is back in his head regarding failure. I’d like to see them go with Ref & Canzone
And give Thomas some run but I’m quite certain they will do the opposite.

I see that they are trying to figure out who to play at short ~ seemingly a tough choice to promote Emerson for management but the other guys have proven to be JAGS so I’m not sure I get the issue… the kid will not be damaged by the exposure and he just might stick. My 2 cents.

Raley is a guy who, for two straight years, had a run where he was one of the best hitters in the league. He did it with the Rays and again with the Ms in 2024. That's without them protecting him from lefties, which overall his numbers suck against. Refsnyder is just the guy they needed for that.

I'm a Raley fan and snagged him for $1 in our fantasy draft today.

I'm not sold on Canzone, and I don't think Robles will make it to the all star break before he gets exit papers. I think they should've invested in a RH DH/1b type as a contingency for Canzone sucking. He's basically the full time DH except when Raleigh does it.

Do I just get to spam this thread about how the Mariners will never win a pennant and that nobody should talk about them because #LosDodgersOrSomeShit???

Yes, you are permitted to do so and you'll probably be right.

Gotta have something to cling to in the Husky Football off-season of doom. My oldest is starting to pay attention to the Mariners a small bit after watching a few playoff games last season and I'm taking all three of the boys to their first game in April.

If Julio can hit over .250 in April and May I like the team's chances. Curious to see if Colt Emerson gets the call up in late-Spring and gives the offense an additional boost.

Not quite the thrill of watching the Blazers have zero actual shot year after year, but it will do. Play-in games in mid-April are special.

Anyone still wondering about games on TV?

I got the streaming MLB/Ms combined package. $200 for the season. The app sucks balls, but I do pretty much always have baseball to fall back on when boredom happens.

Yes, sodo mojo is my source...https://sodomojo.com/mariners-fans-tv-and-streaming-questions-getting-louder-as-opening-day-arrives

Im out of market so i got it for 149… super frustrating to sign up, you need to use your computer to sign up and then you “get” a free month of ESPN+ which you can then cancel, but you must signup for it initially to get access to be able to sign up MLB TV. What crap.

You're really trying to do this with what the fucking Mariners have been since the 90's?

In a basketball game, there's actually shit going on.

I didn't have to deal with that. I signed up with the MLB app on my Roku. No ESPN nonsense was attached.

I'm dealing with all of this pretty well for now. At some point the fatigue will set in from dealing with so many different subscriptions and bills changing seasonally though.

T-Mobile has the MLB subscription free for their customers right now. Only thing that sucks is you can't watch the games in your market, so no M's.

MLB subscription was pretty cheap. I bought it in mid June. $80 or something. The NFL fleeces everyone and would have charged like $400 for a rapidly declining product with varying, nonsensical rules because somehow that'll stop CTE.

Now I use Uzzi or whatever. It sometimes says the connection isn't secure. You get what you pay for.

Agreed that the Mariners have been shit for many years and were content crapping on the fans during the process.. Not the case for the time being and they have a good 2-3 year window to win something meaningful. Enjoy the window while it's open because every Moog out there knows the team will be back to sucking for another 20+ years once the pitchers become eligible for real contracts.
