Christian Caple: The next Condotta?

I don't see anyone mention him or his blog on the boreds or anywhere else on the internet, but he runs a fine blog over there at the TNT. If you haven't seen it, here's the link:

He does the same stuff as every other blogger, such as posting links and news updates, but it's the actual in-depth posts that impress me. All of his actual posts and thorough and comprehensive, with Condotta-like detail. Check out this one on the recent draft history of UW. He's even started previewing the 2014 season with Hawaii and Eastern Washington already up.

I'm surprised there haven't been more links to his blog, especially with the displeasure with Jood last season. Have people not figured him out or is there some other reason he's an unknown on the boreds and other sports websites?

I wasn't even aware that the News-Tribune existed until just now. But to be fair, I'm mostly just an idiot who drank and drugged his way through life. Stay in school, kids. FYFMFE.
 
I liked it when he was the sports writer for the Daily. He is a good writer. Not surprising since his dad writes for ESPN.

Wow, you're right. He was writing for the Daily when I was there. I thought the name sounded familiar but I thought that was because of his dad at ESPN.

Was going to get an awesome until the bolded part. Jude sucks but until he starts flat out making up shit on a consistent basis he's nowhere near the league of Kim.

He does have a long way to go to reach Condotta's level, but he has the potential to get there. His work is good quality and he puts in more effort than any other writer for UW. Check out some of his spring practice recaps.

FWIW, Jood is getting better; his work this spring a noticeable improvement from the fall. He still has a ways to go to catch up to Caple, especially in terms of his initiative and effort, but he'll be much better this year than compared to last year.

The Pac-12 blog at ESPN is still the top, Caple is second, and Jood is third. Doogpound is decent for links only (never for opinion pieces). I don't read Gregg Bell's stuff but I'll probably get desperate over the summer and go through his archive.

Jood posts an article once a week, about 4 days after Tequila reports it. Who pays for that?

He is better than Adam Jude but they have him covering all UW sports so he is still pretty far from Condotta's productivity on UW football. I mostly follow him on twitter and occasionaly read his blog when it sounds interesting.
