You're oversimplifying the argument.

The other position is this: Charlie Kirk had immense influence on American culture, especially 20s and 30s, and had spoken out vehemently several times about invading Iran. He had Trump's ear on several major issues. His organization had also become quite rich and powerful. With him changing his tune on the longstanding plans to attack Iran, it was decided to remove him to keep things going. I don't know if that's literally what happened, but to act like it's not plausible is ridiculous.
