It isn't crazy to think that the assassin supports Trantifa in some way. Besides the potential ATF leak, there was killing of kids at a Catholic school a couple of weeks ago by a mentally deranged guy who was of college age.
Let's not forget about Trantifa killing in Nashville not too ago. I met someone whose daughter was murdered in that, I can't imagine the pain.

Kind of interesting street view of the area. Easy to see the 'alley' the shooter would have used.

Also it would appear to be about 412 feet. Still not a short shot. But still 17 yards further than a football field. Image shooting someone across husky stadium. That said it would help that Kirk was sitting and not moving to make that shot. Lastly there isn't a great street view of the circled area but it appears there is a grass slop towards the roof of the building. Anyone with vert little climbing skills looks like they would be able to get around what would be normal barriers (locked access doors).

I think the next obvious question is who was the absolute moron who didn’t think of security for Kirk. Did his team really not consider the possibility of some psycho doing what he did?

Apparently they had used this location before. Agreed this was very likely overlooked, but also possibly seen as a secured location very few would have access. Again there isn't a street view of that area so I'm only speculating what I can see from Google Maps.
I mean, it’s an extremely sad commentary on our times that it’s not safe for people out there, but it’s the reality of the situation. I think I heard they weren t even checking tix. Those people charged with protecting him have no foresight.
