I wasn't a Reds fan. Wasn't a Rose fan. I liked the As and Yankees and Dodgers over Cinnci. But I did watch this and would recommend. Pete was a piece of work and a questionable character to put it mildly

I know guys that played with him and for him, and two things were constant in our conversations…he was a great player, and a gigantic asshole…
 
One of the biggest stories of my childhood sphere back before the internets was when they opened a fake Field of Dreams in Skagit County and Pete came up as like the celebrity cameo and wanted like $50 of some shit for an autograph or he wouldn't meet anyone.
 
Sad as hell, yes. But Baseball has no choice. Gambling funny bidness almost killed Baseball. Charlie knew the rules.

Yeah I don't think I can really beat that. I had a few 70s cards with the reds at one point but not sure what's in there now.
Bobby Bonilla was one of my least favorite players. I did have a rookie card or two of him. Also have a Ryne Sandberg rookie...1982 or 83 Topps, iirc.
 
The Big Red Machine ended up with two rings and lost to some of the great teams of their era. 7 games classic against the Red Sox in 75 and swept the Yanks in 76
Baltimore Orioles with 4 20 game winners
We Are Family Pirates who actually won three rings from 1961 to 1979
A's won three rings
Yankees 2 in 77 and 78 beating the Dodgers who beat the Reds in the NLCS
Baseball was loaded. Free agency became a thing in 75 or so but didn't break up teams other than the As for awhile
