Is there evidence he can't recruit outside of the Marlon Debacle? I'm pissed we lost him but I think that's less about anything Malloe did and more about Nansen. Unless there's more evidence than that I'm not ready to form an opinion.

I am really curious who we are going to hire as our 10th coach. I suspect it might be Tom Osborne (he hasn't landed anywhere and we hired his kid) who coached TEs and ST for Oregon and is a good friend of Pete's.

I have thought he might also be given a title on the OL so he can recruit kids for the OL as well.

It would make some sense to me as a plan.

The NCAA voted to add a 10th coach to teams and it's coming this spring. I suspect most teams view it as - at least to some extent initially - a dedicated ST position.

Osborne would fit because of that and I think he could help us recruit OLs.

However, we have too many white coaches already (Smith, Strausser, Kwat, Bobby Greggy) so adding another might be a bad move.

No one left, NCAA has a proposal on the table that will likely pass that will let teams hire one more assistant coach (currently 9 allowed, bumping up to 10).

kids from utah i would bet that Malloe had something to do with if he has the utah territory (which I believe he does). He would be the first to speak with the local coaches most likely and the guy any of contacts in that state would reach out to first when they start recruiting a kid.

In this case I agree with Cunt, but this is also true. At least he changed from saying LIPO in every post.

Thing is, the ones I called doogs for saying LIPO or Petersen is building it, total rebuild, etc ended up being right. The script changed with Petersen.
