Come on guys, it’s not like the government would lie to you about an existential global threat which they created just to get you herded into a digital ID surveillance program for your safety and subsequent enslavement
Like with California, the greens stop logging and forest thinning and then you get to a hard truth: Log it, thin it or let it eventually burn. Especially when you get the green gaia religionists lighting fires to prove global warming.
All government has to do is create an urban growth boundary, as WA State has done, to funnel all new growth into city areas. Government doesn't need to intentionally destroy rural areas to accomplish that goal. It's a simple permitting/zoning issue.

Reasonable and possible. But given the current governmental lack of credibility on anything, I'm with LoneStarDawg, above. I.e., Conspiracy theorists are up about 84 to 0 right now, so government gets no benefit of the doubt. Fuck 'em. The burden of proof is on them.
And yes, there are evil, crazy, anti-social bastards holding power in high places who really do want to rule the world. We have one right here on the lake shore, in Medina, for example.
