Can we offer this Ukranian solider a scholarship?

So is the Ukraine shredding this week or strategically losing?

Hard to keep track

Russia is inching closer to...capturing the 57th biggest city in Ukraine

Battles aren't fought over the population of the citizens, they are fought for strategic geographic positions in order to win the next battle.

@PurpleThrobber doesn't want to take Vantage for the campgrounds.

Sure.gif

Nothing strategic about Kyiv, Kherson, Kharkiv

Explain the strategic importance of...bakhmut

Strategic enough for Zelensky to throw thousands of soldiers there to die. I’ll take his word for it.

They held off Russia for 9 months there.

Whether or not they use the opportunity to counter attack soon will make or break that decision

Thanks for making my point. If it didn’t matter they wouldn’t have fought for 9 months.

Why not? Theyve bled the Russians on a scale of 5 to 1 and tied up a lot of Russias best troops there

They are going to counter attack soon. Lipo

So when can we expect the Russians to surrender and get this proxy war over?

After Zelensky's charge at Gettysburg

Weird thing to wish for

Where did I wish for it

You're really struggling

After Putin's Little Bighorn

Hardy har har

Ukraine held it's capital and biggest cities after Russia tried to take them. Shredding and strategic win.

Not much Russia does can do to overcome that debacle.

Russia has suffered horrific losses advancing near Bahkmut. Will it be worth it? Will they actually take 100% control of the city?

Tune in next time

Google masterbater, have you ever actually researched why Kyiv is named Kyiv?

The answer will enlighten you that this inter family squabble has gone on for centuries.

And the chicken hawks are along for the very profitable ride.

What part of 9th century history of Ukraine is preventing mighty Mother Russia from capturing Kyiv in...2023?

Christ.

Agree.

Just pondering -why is it morally acceptable to the white man for Arabs and Persians to war against one another for centuries over turf (see also Sunni v Shiite game thread)? But when the Russians and Ukraineans want to duke it out, we(?) give a fuck?

For those playing at home, do a little background check on the Kyivan Rus' Empire and prepare to be Dazzler'd that shit goes way the fuck back.

The google master wants you to believe it just started with Putin and the Z Man.

DEMOCRACY!

I thought the Ukraine was the historical home of democracy. Everyone know that the democratic tradition runs deep in the Slavs. They also have the same tradition of honesty as the Swedes. After Team America, World Police gets done with Putin, the Ukraine will be a beacon for democracy and governmental honesty. Our success story of saving the world for democracy is, uh South Korea?

Lol, gentlemen, I just wanted to take the time to say it's been a pleasure posting the finer intricacies of the War in Ukraine (formerly known as the "Special Military Operation") with you all.

I thought Id commemorate the moment before we get to page 69 with a group photo:
