Can the NFL get any gayer?

between the p.c. commercials, pink, dumb spearing rules, dumb causes who get 2% of the proceeds, Goodell's bullshit and double talk, football shoved down our throats 365 by the media. Even the intros are horrible or non-existent. In the 80s and 90s, they were badass.

I like watching games but it's not like it was.

I still enjoy the NFL, but yeah, there's a lot stuff I could do without. In addition to what you listed, Thursday Night Football and the annual game in London is ridiculous. I know businesses are always trying to expand their brand, but you risk diluting what made your product great in the first place.

Until the money stops pouring in, I doubt anything will change.

The NFL to me is feeling like less of a sport and more of a business. It's like no one gives a shit what happens anymore except for the die hard fans that are getting played and handing over $ like they're paying for chemo treatment.

There is a twitter video of the ref kicking that off the field, but I have no idea how to imbed a twitter video here...

Fuck me. PGOS made it onto an NFL field after all.

Wow zing. Not sure how PGOS is going to come back from that one.

Everyone in this thread that's bitching about the NFL is going to go right back next week and watch the games. It's what you guys do.

When UW is good, my enjoyment of NFL diminishes. I've barely been watching other than Seahawk games.

There were 2 commercial breaks during the UW-Utah game that seemed to be 6 mins each. Crap like that will hurt college football as well. I start walking around at the 4-5 min mark...then start missing the game when it comes back on. I'm almost at the point where I prefer the games in their 30 or 60 min edited versions on youtube or Pac12 network, the next day, rather than the 3 hours and 40 mins live. The 3-5 mins reviewing EVERY FUCKING TD IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL needs to be streamlined as well.

I didn't really touch on the business side, but yes, everything is just cold, calculated, and designed to make money, promote, expand the brand to whatever group etc. Obvioiusly it's a business but like someone said, they're diluting their product and alienating the core audience. Goodell has zero integrity. He's not paid to be a saint, but Tagliabue and the guy before him (totally blanking) had some.

I just want to watch a game. I don't need to see pink, or hear about the troops (who all volunteered), see football spelled in Espanol or see Amy Schumer in commercials.
