Can somebody help me with the PAC-12 Network?

I'm hearing there is a way to stream it in HD...I went to this site that somebody linked a few weeks ago (forgot the site) and only ran into a dead-end where you download some file that doesn't do anything.

Still confused....you download a m3u8 file....it can be opened with several programs, but it doesn't do anything....

vlc media player. Input the url for the network stream option

The pac12 stream is hd for me. From their site directly.
