Caminong Pulls Out on Husky QB Commitment

I’ve been told that pulling out isn’t a sure fire form of contraception.

WDWHA… apparently.

I'm still trying to figure out why the staff moved on from him. I don't think it was something off the field? Or that he took visits after being committed?

Once the Folsom kid reclassified this was all but done.

I don't know that reclassifying did it. That put Mack a year ahead, which I thought was mainly to help keep any other 2024 guy in the boat.

I just don't think Caminong was ever looked at as "the guy" and they've been looking to upgrade since he first committed. They got Mack and then kept recruiting other 2024 ,guys.

If anything I would think Mack reclassifying made keeping Caminong more likely? 2024 is a really weak class for QBs out west at least according to 247.

Can't wait for him to come to Husky Stadium in like 2026 and go 20-26 for 314 with 3TDs and no ints and suck against everyone else.

It's the script

Caminong looked like a QB that could have been good in DeBoer’s system. I’m fine with them slow-playing him if they think they have a bigger fish on the line but if they come up empty handed in this class then they fucked up.

Empty handed again. They didn’t get a QB in their first class. Excusable because of the coaching transition. They basically struck out on every QB last year until the kid from SD finally jumped in the boat. They lose him and recruit Mack whom they convince to reclassify. They had EJ committed really early on and then move on from him pretty late in the game. This staffs inability to get quality QBs early and often seems like a minor red flag as far as Grubb and Boners salesmanship. Especially with this offense to sell.

I'm not worried about high school qbs at all now. None of them stay unless they are playing by their 2nd year. Go after the transfers now
